Why don't they go back and check with research that has already been done? I know this seems ridiculous but there ARE natural cures out there that the pharmaceutical companies don't want out because they can't patent a natural substance. Check out the work of Rene Caisse and Dr. Charles Brusch of Cambridge, Massachusetts, Director of the prestigious Brusch clinic and personal physician to John F. Kennedy, in the early 1960's. They found a cure for cancer then and Dr Brusch testified to that fact. Dr. Brusch presented his findings after ten years of research. In his own words, "Essiac is a cure for cancer, period! All studies done at laboratories in the United States and Canada support this conclusion." Whereupon the federal government issued a gag order on this information!

Sheep's Sorrel is the natural cancer killer.

SOMEONE PLEASE RESEARCH THIS MORE!!! Don't let the FDA and pharma stop this. MONEY is not worth the life of ANY person!

I agree - I think the complementary/alternative treatment options gain more acceptance within the traditional medical community. The fact of the matter is, we are not where we are supposed to be in our cancer research. Yes, progress was made, the war on cancer is far away from being over.

My wife was diagnosed with breast cancer in march of 2009 ( www.ourbreastcancer.com ), Stage I, Grade III, ER/PR+. She decided to have the tumor surgically removed but refused chemo and radiation. Only later on we learned that both (chemo and rad) would have had only very little impact given her type of cancer. So her instincts were right from the get go. Instead, she receives Vitamin C drips, natural supplements, and most importantly , she changed her diet completely (and so did I).

Seven months later I got diagnosed with kidney cancer. My left kidney had to be removed through a radical robotic nephrectomy. I joined my wife in living a healthy lifestyle, with focus on whole food, plant based diet, and cutting out as much as possible that is detrimental to our health.

My cancer was probably caused by exposure to asbestos, however, of course, I am just speculating ( www.mykidneycancer.com/mesothelioma ).

The problem with the so called complimentary/alternative treatments is simply due to the fact that we don't have enough data, yet, to change the mindset of both, doctors and the public.
