Shawn Johnson on SU2C
One of our newest ambassadors, Shawn Johnson, was recently interviewed about her involvement with SU2C. An Olympic gold medalist and "Dancing With the Stars" winner, Shawn spoke with St. Louis radio station Y98 about the recent MLB All-Star game, concert, and 5K, as well as her own connection to cancer. "My grandma is a survivor of cancer herself, so I got the hands-on experience of what families go through," she said. "Ours was the miracle where she came out even healthier. It's trying to find that hope that everyone can come out same way."

Just wanted to share a resource for any young women out there battling breast cancer. As many of you are probably already aware, there's a misconception out there that breast cancer only happens to older, menopausal women. My cousin, Daylani S. Rollich (a.k.a. Beautiful Day) was diagnosed at the age of 28. She fought for nearly five years, but ultimately passed away in 2006.
Prior to her death, Daylani founded the Beautiful Day Foundation, in hopes of remedying the misconception and creating a resource for young women still fighting. She believed that education was the first step to survival.
The Beautiful Day Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising awareness and providing breast cancer education to young women across the globe.
We bring professionals who know and people who care together to provide the information and support that young women need to fight this disease with courage and strength.
We're a fresh voice helping young women with breast cancer face every new day's challenges with grace, humor, and style. And we're building an energetic community dedicated to helping young women and their loved ones turn today- each day - every day into a beautiful day.
LIVE BEAUTIFUL!
